NATIONAL FILM AND TELEVISION SCHOOL - M.A IN SCREENWRITING

The National Film and Television School is the UK's national centre of excellence for education in film and TV programme making.

Aimed at non-graduates as well as graduates, and at writers from other disciplines, the Screenwriting MA at the National Film and Television School prepares writers for work in the film and television industries. By the end of the course, the graduating screenwriter will have had the opportunity to complete a range of work for their portfolio, which will demonstrate their talent as a professional writer.

The course is taught by working professional writers: each second-year writing student has an industry mentor; introductions are made to commissioning editors and producers; and the course acquaints students with the main aspects of the profession of writing.

Unlike a Screenwriting MA based in an academic institution, the course is set in a working studio. It covers all aspects of screenwriting and the development of ideas through to production and post-production - all in a practical setting.

Flight 5065 is inviting entries from writers, theatre companies, dancers, comedians, musicians, poets, video, sound and performance artists for a spectacular one night arts festival, with simultaneous events in every one of the London Eye's 32 pods.

Proposals should embrace the challenges of the space itself - an up-close and personal audience of no more than 20 people, a changing panoramic view of London, butterflies in the stomach and a performance of twenty-seven minutes - no longer, no shorter. Please detail in your submission how you would address these issues.
